We are seeking a proactive and analytical Assistant Manager Procurement to manage end-to-end procurement operations, vendor management, and cost optimization for engineering projects and operational requirements. The role requires strong coordination with projects, store, and finance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
  • Manage procurement of engineering materials, equipment, tools, electrical & mechanical components
  • Source and evaluate vendors for quality, cost, and reliability
  • Obtain quotations, conduct comparative analysis, and finalize purchases
  • Ensure timely procurement to support project timelines
Vendor Management
  • Develop and maintain a reliable vendor database
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve supply issues
Planning & Coordination
  • Coordinate with projects, store, and engineering teams for material requirements
  • Align procurement planning with project schedules
  • Avoid stock-outs and overstocking through demand planning
ERP / System Management
  • Manage procurement processes in ERP/Odoo system
  • Maintain purchase orders, GRNs, and supplier records
  • Generate procurement and cost reports
Compliance & Cost Control
  • Ensure procurement complies with company policies
  • Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
Qualification & Experience
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering-related field
  • 3–4 years of relevant procurement experience
  • Hands-on experience with any ERP (Odoo would be a big plus)
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
