Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Civil Lab Technician with 1-2 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tests and inspections in a remote setting to ensure the integrity and quality of civil engineering materials and products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and non-routine tests as directed on civil engineering materials, such as soils, asphalt, concrete, and aggregates.
• Analyze and record laboratory test data and prepare reports for review by senior engineers or project managers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations during tests and experiments.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and ensure equipment is in good operating condition at all times.
• Collaborate with project teams to interpret and apply test results for engineering projects.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
• Assist in the development and improvement of testing methods and procedures.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in a civil engineering laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with testing standards and methods such as ASTM, AASHTO, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in using laboratory testing equipment and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with data entry and lab management software.

Qualifications:

• A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Certification in materials testing (e.g., ACI, NICET) is a plus.
• Valid driver's license may be required for some roles or project sites.
• Safety training certifications are advantageous.
