The Job

Orange Tree Systems is hiring an experienced Medical Billing Specialist with inpatient hospital billing experience to support our U.S. healthcare operations. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in end-to-end medical billing, including claims submission, payment posting, denial management, and insurance follow-ups — ensuring timely and accurate reimbursements.

Medical billing plays a key role in processing and managing claim submissions and following up on unpaid claims to ensure providers receive timely payment.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of experience in U.S. Medical Billing (required)
• Hands-on experience with inpatient hospital billing (UB-04 / institutional claims) — required
• Strong knowledge of claims submission and insurance follow-ups
• Experience handling denials, rejections, resubmissions, and appeals
• Familiarity with EOB/ERA and payment posting
• Good understanding of medical billing concepts and RCM workflow
• Excellent communication skills for payer interaction
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS (basic understanding required)
• Experience with DRG-based billing and inpatient revenue cycle
• Experience in AR calling, follow-ups, and aging reports
• Prior experience with U.S. healthcare billing systems / EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Athenahealth, Kareo, etc.)
• Ability to identify trends in denials and reduce rejection rates
