Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and attentive waiter to provide excellent dining experiences to our guests. You will play a vital role in ensuring that guests receive prompt and courteous service, making their dining experience enjoyable and memorable.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they enter the dining area and present them with the menu.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using memorization or a POS system.
- Relay orders to the kitchen and ensure all requests are catered to efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages in a professional manner with high levels of customer service.
- Check on guests regularly to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any issues if needed.
- Process payments using cash registers or credit card machines.
- Clear and clean tables in a timely manner to prepare for the next set of guests.
- Assist in setting up or rearranging furniture for larger groups or special events when necessary.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the restaurant.
- Collaborate with other restaurant staff to ensure smooth daily operation.
Requirements:
- Less than 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in person and for full-time shifts.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and carrying heavy trays.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certification in food safety or handling is a plus.
- Demonstrable knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Friendly, personable, and with a genuine interest in helping others.
