UI/UX 2D Artist — Mobile Games
About the role
We are an indie mobile game studio looking for a talented UI/UX 2D Artist to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and crafting visually stunning, polished game interfaces that feel intuitive and exciting to players. You'll work closely with the development team to bring game screens, menus, HUDs, icons, and buttons to life.
Responsibilities
- Design high-quality UI screens, menus, icons, buttons, and HUD elements for mobile games
- Apply strong color theory to create visually cohesive and appealing game interfaces
- Create and maintain consistent visual style guides and asset libraries
- Design with mobile screen sizes, resolutions, and touch interactions in mind
- Collaborate with developers and game designers to implement UI assets into the game engine
Requirements
- 6-12 months of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in the gaming industry
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for creating and editing UI assets
- Strong color theory knowledge—understanding of hue, contrast, readability, and mood
- Portfolio demonstrating high-quality UI work—game UI examples are a strong plus
- Understanding of Mobile UI/UX principles—layout, spacing, button sizing, and readability on small screens
- Ability to deliver production-ready, neatly organized assets (correct naming, layering, and export formats)
Nice to have
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator or Figma
- Familiarity with Unity or similar game engines for asset handoff
- Experience animating UI elements (e.g. screen transitions, button feedback)
- Passion for mobile games and understanding of the casual/midcore genre
