Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end financial closing.
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
- Develop periodic reports for management.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Review and suggest improvements to current accounting practices and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies and other applicable regulations.
- Assist auditors during the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Manage petty cash transactions and staff expenses.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of proven work experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACA) is considered an advantage but not mandatory.
Work Setting:
This is a full-time, on-site position requiring regular office hours.
