Business Developer Required
About the Role
We're looking for a results-driven Business Developer / Business Analyst to own our client acquisition across freelance platforms and outbound channels. You'll be the engine behind our pipeline — finding the right opportunities on Upwork and Toptal, running cold email and LinkedIn outreach, and turning conversations into qualified projects for our AI & ML team.
This role blends business development (bidding, outreach, closing) with business analysis (understanding client needs, scoping requirements, and writing winning proposals). If you know how to spot a good lead, write a pitch that gets replies, and translate a vague client idea into a clear project brief, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do
- Manage and optimize our profiles on Upwork — write compelling proposals, bid on relevant jobs, and maintain strong job-success metrics.
- Run cold email campaigns: build prospect lists, write outreach sequences, track open/reply rates, and book discovery calls.
- Drive LinkedIn outreach and social selling — connect with decision-makers, nurture leads, and generate inbound interest.
- Conduct requirement gathering and business analysis — talk to prospects, understand their problems, and document clear scopes our technical team can act on.
- Write and tailor proposals, quotes, and project briefs for AI & ML services.
- Track all leads and activity in a CRM and report on pipeline and conversion metrics.
- Collaborate with the technical team to scope timelines, deliverables, and pricing.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience winning clients on Upwork (please share your profile or track record).
- Hands-on experience with cold email outreach and LinkedIn lead generation.
- Strong written English and persuasive proposal-writing skills.
- Business analysis ability — comfortable gathering requirements and writing clear briefs.
- Self-starter who can own a pipeline end to end with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with AI / ML / software services and the ability to speak to them with clients.
- Experience with CRM and outreach tools (e.g., HubSpot, Apollo, Lemlist, Sales Navigator).
- A portfolio of past deals closed or proposals that won.
