Skills and Requirements:

• Django
• Strawberry GraphQL
• PostgreSQL
• Celery / Redis
• React
• Next.js
• AWS ECS/Fargate
• Stripe / Stripe Connect
• EasyPost and other third-party API integrations

The ideal candidate:

• Has startup experience or experience working on small, fast-moving teams
• Has strong Django backend experience
• Has experience integrating and working with APIs
• Has experience with Stripe and ideally Stripe Connect
• Asks thoughtful questions and thinks critically through edge cases
• Takes initiative and ownership instead of waiting for detailed instructions
• Tests their work thoroughly before handing it off
• Has strong attention to detail and writes clean, maintainable code
• Communicates blockers quickly and proactively
• Understands how to prioritize high-impact work over minor details
• Can move quickly without creating unnecessary regressions
• Uses AI as a tool to increase productivity and write better code, but is not overly reliant on it and can reason through problems independently
• Is excited about tech, doing their own research about what’s new, what’s best and wants to share

Salary:

• $2,500 / month

Note:

What we're specifically trying to avoid is someone who needs heavy day-to-day management, gets stuck for long periods without communicating, struggles to prioritize, or ships work that hasn't been thoroughly tested.
