Responsibilities
- Supervise and maintain the MAR Group accounts, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance.
- Provide comprehensive financial reports on multiple projects, assessing profitability and analyzing expenses.
- Oversee the entire accounting cycle, including accounts payable, receivable, and the general ledger.
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports on financial performance, operations, and budgeting.
- Perform annual updates to fixed assets in accounting software, including depreciation and disposal tracking.
- Prepare and manage monthly operations reports, covering income, expenses, savings, and employee performance (managed by software).
- Handle monthly payroll calculations and disbursement to staff.
- Ensure the preparation of cheques, dues, and financial statements (balance sheets, income statements).
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess financial health, and recommend improvements.
- Manage cash flow, forecast future financial needs, monitor expenditures, and optimize cash management.
- Create and monitor budgets, and forecast future financial performance, addressing variances.
- Implement strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage the financial aspects of team compensation, including salaries, bonuses, and special requests.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to develop tax strategies and ensure compliance with tax laws.
- Prepare and file various tax returns (sales tax, annual income tax).
- Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and updates.
- Handle withholding tax (WHT) on vendor and employee payments.
Qualifications
- ACMA, ACCA, CPA, MBA Finance, or any equivalent professional qualification
- A solid understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and compliance standards
