Plan, manage, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets while ensuring optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
Supervise the complete polymer pipe manufacturing process, including extrusion, sizing, cooling, cutting, socketing, and packing.
Ensure production complies with quality standards, customer specifications, and relevant ISO/API requirements.
Optimize production efficiency by reducing downtime, scrap, and material wastage through continuous process improvement.
Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure preventive maintenance and minimize equipment breakdowns.
Monitor production KPIs such as output, OEE, rejection rate, cycle time, and machine efficiency, and prepare daily production reports.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and maintain a safe working environment.
Lead, train, and evaluate production supervisors, operators, and shift staff to improve productivity and performance.
Coordinate with Planning, Quality Assurance, Stores, and Supply Chain to ensure uninterrupted production and timely order fulfillment.
Control raw material consumption, production costs, and inventory to achieve operational efficiency.
Investigate production issues, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, GMP/5S practices, and statutory regulations while maintaining accurate production documentation.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
5–8 years of relevant experience in polymer pipe manufacturing (HDPE, PPRC, PVC, UPVC, or CPVC), with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
