Job Purpose

To deliver high-quality instruction by effectively implementing the school's prescribed curriculum, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic, social, and personal development while maintaining the institution's educational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in accordance with the school's prescribed curriculum, lesson plans, and academic guidelines.
  • Effectively implement the curriculum and ensure learning objectives are achieved within the designated timelines.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that promotes student engagement, participation, and academic excellence.
  • Utilize appropriate teaching methodologies, instructional resources, and technology to enhance student learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying learning abilities and support individual student needs.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate student performance through assignments, classwork, assessments, and examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic progress, assessments, and classroom activities.
  • Prepare students for internal assessments, examinations, and other academic evaluations as required by the school.
  • Communicate professionally with parents or guardians regarding student progress, academic performance, and behavioral concerns when required.
  • Collaborate with Academic Coordinators, Section Heads, and fellow teachers to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and academic standards.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development programs, school events, and other institutional activities.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional ethics.
  • Contribute to the overall academic and co-curricular development of students and support school initiatives as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in the relevant subject and grade level (fresh graduates with exceptional academic credentials may also be considered where applicable).
  • Sound knowledge of subject content and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Ability to implement a prescribed curriculum and meet academic objectives within established timelines.
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using digital teaching tools, educational technology, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a professional educational environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject or Education from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • A Master's degree in the relevant discipline or Education will be considered an added advantage.
  • Valid teaching certification (where applicable) will be preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional learning and educational excellence.
